Our name

The name ”DocuMates” is a combination of ”documentation” and the word ”Mates”.

Those of you familiar with the Australian English know that a ”mate” is a very good friend, and that is also what we would like to consider ourselves to be.

”Mate” is also the title of a ships navigation officer, one who guides the ship over the seas…and this ”guiding” is also something which we would like to do for you.

That is, we will guide and assist you through the process of having any assignment we receive from you produced in the best possible manner.

Our company

“DocuMates” is not a company of the traditional kind, and we have no full-time employees. Instead we consists of a group of freelancers having established a .network to provide our customers with comprehensive services in the fields of Technical and Business Communications.

We are all “Mates” working together and helping each other to make it possible to offer you – our customer – the best possible services at the lowest possible cost!

Our operating costs are further reduced by not maintaining any expensive offices in the centre of cities – we all work from our own office. When all our freelancers and consultant experts works from their own office (often in their own home), then there are no additional cost that must be covered by the customers who select to benefit from our knowledge and expertise.

The low cost will benefit our customers, but our innovative ”way of working” will benefit our customers even more! This because by co-operation each freelancer in the network will have the opportunity to utilise or be a part of services which will be most beneficial for our customers.

This can be services such as translation of text, having illustrations or art work produced and publishing or printing material that the customer require. These are service which we are convinced are being appreciated by our customers.

To work from our own offices is possible using modern technology, and we have selected this method to reduce overheads and to make it possible to offer our customers comprehensive services while maintaining the lowest possible prices.

For that purpose we have also concentrated our marketing to Internet only, and we will also conduct our business via Internet.

That is, we expect to receive our assignments via email, we will maintain our correspondence via email, and we will normally also send our offers and invoices via email only.
